It's hard to know when a book will be good or not. I question how I choose books at the bookstore already! I judge covers and ask people that I respect whether or not they have heard of the book. I don't like cheesy covers and I wish that book covers didn't have so many pictures on them. I usually look for books that I have heard of and during my search I find new books that I have never seen and if i like the cover I sit down and start reading. If I want to continue reading, I will buy the book!

1st semester reflection

Last semester i seriously crashed and burned. this year i am new at succeeding in school and doing school work and truly caring about my grades so i was extremely overwhelmed the second marking period with invisible man. my work ethic is barely there and i have winter time blues! i was not prepared for the last markin period and now i am prepared for hte new semester.
what do i want? i want to get all A's and i know this is possible! i will do my homework everyday after school and continue to check my grades and stay on top of every point i can earn. I am going to succeed because i want to and because i can. I am willing and able.
For english i will read every night - whether it be Independent reading book or marking period book . at least 5 pages every day! no matter what! fit it in between classes and before bed! do not leave things until the last minute! i will create a marking period calender and schedule when i will fit in my ideendent reading project
themes will be done ON TIME . i will work on them seriously every night from teh time they are assigned. ALSO LOOK AT THE HOMEWORK BOARD EVERY DAY
